Stellantis’ CFO, Doug Ostermann, has resigned, citing personal reasons, after less than one year in the job. During Ostermann’s time, for reasons not under his control, Stellantis predicted much lower profits and told of falling sales and higher inventories in the United States.
Ostermann had been charged with bringing Stellantis back to fiscal stability and dealing with mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
To replace Ostermann, Stellantis turned to Joao Laranjo, who had joined FCA in 2009 as chief accounting officer for Latin America. He was made CFO for North America in 2017, then in 2024 left to be vice president of finance at Goodyear, coming back this year. Laranjo started his career as an associate auditor at General Electric in 2001.
As CFO, Laranjo will also be a member of the Stellantis Leadership Team.
