Watch out for 2026 Tesla Model Ys going in reverse, because their backup lights may not work, according to recall 25V658; for that matter, Toyota Tundras and Sequoias, 2023-25, may have broken backup cameras. Fire recalls include 2024-25 Hyunda Santa Fes (bad starter wiring) and 2025-26 Bentleys (leaky fuel pumps). But what of Mopar?
Some 2024-25 Ram Promaster BEVs may have a software problem in the electric drive module, resulting in loss of power. To fix this, dealers will update the software for various parts, and inspect the electric drive module, possibly replacing it entirely. Notices are to be sent by the end of October. In addition, like those Toyotas, the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio, 2020-2025, may lose their backup cameras.
Finally, 2025 Toyota Siennas have badly welded second row seat rails (55,000 of them, in any case), with notices to be sent by the end of November; and watch for 2023-26 Autocar Legends and Xpeditor, because the steering wheel may come off, with obvious results. Fortunately, there are only 5,000 of them out there.
