4xe fire recall hits NHTSA list

The Jeep 4xe recall discovered last week has now officially joined the NHTSA’s regular recap of recalls.

Jeep was not alone:

• The 2022-25 Lucid Air and a massive number of 2023-26 Lexuses and Toyotas had their turns for the industry-wide “rearview camera may not work” recall
• The 2025 Mazda CX-50, normal and hybrid, may have loose front suspension bolts, with predictably bad results
• 2025 Kia Tellurides and 2026 Kia Sorentos have the wrong spare tire
• 2000-01 BMW X5 airbag inflators may explode
• Braun-upgraded minivans, including the 2021-25 Pacifica as well as the 2022-26 Odyssey and 2022-25 Sienna, may have wheelchair restraint retractors which fail to lock.

Ford, which has dominated most weeks of recalls, may have finally worked to the bottom of the pile: they had no recalls this week.
