hi there I'm here to talk to you about
0:02
some rather interesting new recalls from
0:05
stantis uh just announced this week by
0:07
the nhtsa now one of these is very
0:10
embarrassing they apparently made 2022
0:13
to 2024 model year prom Masters starting
0:16
in 2021 ending in
0:19
2024 without the side door beams and
0:22
this is the case for the ones with the
0:24
two row cabs so you have two rows of
0:27
seats they are unusual and I'm showing
0:31
here that there are let's see 266
0:34
Vehicles sold in the US which have this
0:37
problem I don't know how many were in
0:39
Canada and Mexico I could find out but
0:41
let's call it based on past experience
0:44
maybe 30 at most so in addition to
0:46
missing the door beam they also have an
0:48
issue where the placard is wrong that
0:51
says how many seats are in the car
0:53
that's probably obvious it's not really
0:55
a big deal they just give you a new
0:56
placard or a sticker to go over the old
0:58
information
1:00
but the missing door beam is kind of
1:02
important so if you have one of these
1:04
pro masters go out and get that door
1:06
beam installed by the dealer what else
1:08
is going on well four Jeep Wranglers
1:10
with the toe package or made without the
1:14
the toe package or at least without the
1:16
right power distribution center without
1:18
which the tow package will tow a vehicle
1:20
quite well but you won't have any tail
1:23
lights or turn signals or brake lights
1:25
on the vehicle being towed which is bad
1:28
so take those four Wranglers in if you
1:32
have all four again possibly uh based on
1:35
past experience another point4 sold in
1:38
Canada and Mexico maybe a handful at
1:42
most and get the right power
1:44
distribution center put in so that
1:46
you've got lights how to check this well
1:48
that's obvious you hook up a trailer
1:51
turn on your headlights and if you don't
1:53
see any tail lights on the trailer then
1:55
you've probably got one of the affected
1:57
Vehicles all of them were made between
1:59
January 4th in January 18th 2024 but I'd
2:02
still check just to make sure because
2:04
hey doesn't hurt to check finally a bit
2:07
over 50 Grand Cherokees have a
2:09
improperly tightened which means loose
2:12
rear seat belt not quite sure how that
2:14
happened and there's a single 22 Ram
2:18
1500 classic that has a bad wiring
2:21
harness that has to be replaced and we
2:23
have a call to stantis to see if that
2:26
vehicle has already had it replaced
2:28
because the uh htsa notice makes it seem
2:31
like it has but isn't that clear so
2:34
we'll see you soon
