The modern Dodge Dart used a hastily-prepared wide version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta platform for 2013 which also served the Jeep Cherokee and Chrysler 200, and was the starting point for the Pacifica. The new Dart was shut down fairly quickly, rather than being moved from its own factory to the Cherokee line (which would have been relatively easy), when Fiat Chrysler decided it needed the Dart factory for another car. The Dart was made with two DaimlerChrysler engines and one Fiat engine, with Fiat manual transmissions and Fiat or Hyundai automatics. This video looks at two Fiat-powered Darts, one having the automatic and the other with the Fiat six-speed manual.
