Dodge Charger and Challenger production stopped at the end of 2023; the next Charger did not come until the end of 2024, and it was an electric car, the Dodge Charger Daytona. A gasoline-powered Charger was in the works, though, and arrived as the 2026 Dodge Charger SIXPACK, named after the six-cylinder engine.
The original Dodge Six-Pack cars had a 440 or 340 cubic inch engine with three two-barrel carburetors—six venturies; the Australian Valiant Charger Hemi Six-Pack had a hot six-cylinder engine, though. Designed from the ground up for Australian high performance, the Six-Pack did have hemispherical style heads, with a straight-six design. The Hurricane engines of today have Hemi-like performance, from an inline six with twin turbochargers—producing 425 hp from the standard output in the R/T, and 550 hp from the high output in the Scat Pack.

In Canada, the Charger R/T starts at $62,290 including destination; the Scat Pack price is coming.
Both the Charger R/T and the Scat Pack are available in coupe and sedan form, with sedans coming later in the year; they have an eight-speed automatic and all wheel drive. The transmission has a 5.50:1 first gear and 0.64:1 overdrive in eighth gear (1:1 comes with sixth gear). The final drive ratio is 3.45:1. Direct injection (GDI) goes to 350 bar of pressure, using central injectors, on the high output engine. It uses deep-skirt cast aluminum with steel main bearing caps and a 8.5:1 compression ratio. Twin Garrett GT2054 turbochargers, with low inertia and high flow to spin up quickly to the peak boost of 30 psi and 185,000 rpm (in the Scat Pack). Turbines are made with Inconel 100 in its first industry application; the material resists heat, oxyidation, and thermal fatigue. The eight-speed automatic has a multi-disc wet clutch system that opens quickly to provide full rear wheel drive; the front axle can disconnect for better fuel economy.
The suspension is a multi-link type in front, with a 70 N/mm spring rate; it has 90 mm of jounce travel and 100mm of rebound travel. The rear suspension is an integral link design with a 111 N/mm spring rate and both jounce and rebound travel is 100 mm. The shocks are a monotube design.
The Charger is 206.6 inches long, on a 121.0 inch wheelbsae; the front track is 68.4 inches and the rear track is 68.7 inches. The car is 84.3 inches wide (79.8 inches without mirrors). Ground clearance is a tight 5.5 inches; the drag coefficient (cD0 is 0.35. The Scat Pack weighs 4,816 pounds, which is around the weight of German luxury sedans with a similar size—around 100 pounds heavier, but all wheel drive is standard. The weight balance is 55.4/44.6, front to rear.
Inside, there is 79.8 inches of legroom, front and rear combined (because seats move), with a total 103 cubic feet of passenger volume. Cargo space is 22.8 cubic feet with seat backs up, and 37.4 cubic feet with seat backs down—quite generous. Both front and rear brakes are supplied by Brembo and use ventilated discs; they are fixed in front and floating in rear.
To make the power safer, the Charger comes with forward collision warning, emergency braking with vulnerable road users detection, active lane management and driving assist, adaptive cruise, blind-spot and rear cross path warnings, front, rear, and side parking assistance, traffic sign recognition, and drowsy driver detection. Optional features include 360° cameras, side cameras to show the front tire and curb (and avoid wheel scratches), parking-based front camera activation, and turn signal active blind spot views.
The cars are expensive, but all wheel drive is standard on the Scat Pack. Other Scat Pack features include Launch Control, Line Lock, steering wheel paddles, a rear wheel drive mode, remote start, keyless entry, acoustic glass, LED headlamps and running lamps, and Fratzog badges. The Scat Pack Plus adds auto high beam control, premium LED headlmaps, power liftgate with programmable height, (optional) carbon fiber mirrors, a full-length glass roof, bigger wheels (20x11 instead of 20x10), and rain-sensing wipers.
Inside, the Scat Pack has dual zone climate controls with physical buttons, 12.3 inch central display, 10-inch cluster (16 inches with Plus), and G-meter. The Plus adds adjustable interior lighting, lower ambient LED lamps, a glove lamp, and LED map lights. Floor mats, the bane of car buyers in times past, are included. The interior is black excpet if the Demonic Red leather is ordered, optional on the Scat Pack Plus. The Plus also adds a charging pad, Alexa, an optional Alpine 18 speaker sound system, navigation, SRT pages, and other features.
